to make the monthly block plus learn new tips,
tricks, and tools while meeting people that share
your passion for quilting.
Earn FBI

Working at the Five and Dime
This original quilt is
designed by Julie Geiger at Prairie Point Junction
in honor of her first job at age 16 in the Ben
Franklin “five and dime” in Crete, Nebraska. Meet
the staff at Ben Franklin’s as you journey through
the year.
The series includes
patterns for twelve 10” blocks and twelve 5” blocks.
Block patterns will be available the 2nd Saturday of
each respective month.
Two different
layout options allow you to choose how many of each
block type you will make. Yardage suggestions will
be available for additional quilt sizes as well.
Order a kit in Reproduction Style
fabrics, or choose your own fat quarters to
customize your colors. Kit will include 24 fat
quarters which will be enough to make the blocks
ONLY for the layouts in the sizes pictured.
Additional yardage will be required for block
backgrounds, setting, borders, binding, etc.
(Fabrics will be similar to those pictured - stop by
our shop to see actual fabrics).
Pattern fee: $24.00 (One time fee, includes
invitation to attend Saturday Sampler Sessions,
mail-order options available).
Block
Kit: $60.00, includes 24 fat quarters for dark parts
of the blocks
Background Kit:
$17.00, includes 2 yards Tan Splatter from Moda for
the backgrounds of the blocks. *Additional yardage required for borders, binding,
etc.

A Banner Year
A unique
twist on our usual Block of the Month format.
Julie fell in love with this project designed by
her friend Leslie Main, owner of Country
Traditions in Fremont.
Receive a
pattern for an 18” x 30” banner with a pocket
designed to fit your favorite 11” x 8 1/2” (or
slightly larger) calendar. Each month you’ll receive
a pattern for a 12” block to change the look of your
banner for each season. Blocks could also be used
for individual wall quilts, or combine them
all into a lap sized quilt.
Pattern
Fee: $24.00 (One time fee, includes invitation to
attend Saturday Sampler Sessions)
Banner Kit Fee: $34.99; includes fabrics to make
basic banner and four star buttons to embellish
vine. (One time fee)
Wrought Iron 19” Banner Hanger: $25.50 (One time fee)
Block Kit Fee: $8.00 per month,
includes fabric for block top and binding.
