We're so excited to have hosted Janet Nesbitt and Pam Soliday from the Buggy Barn during our Quilting on the Prairie Retreat, October 10th-12th, 2008. Their trunk show had us laughing as we learned tidbits and tales behind this designing duo of sisters. Three days of class instruction left us experts at the Buggy Barn Crazy technique.

ClassesTie One On Class
-November 18th; 6:00-8:30
Teacher: Julie Geiger
Class Fee: $25.00, includes pattern and supper. (Supplies not included) We’ll serve soup and bread, then assist you in making your own “Sunday Dinner Apron”. Bring the recipe for your favorite bread. Pre-registration required.

The website, www.apronmemories.com, explains “Tie One On and celebrate the humble apron and the spirit of women of earlier generations who donned the universal symbol of home, family and mothering as the uniform of their daily wardrobe and helped make America the great country it is today. On the eve of Thanksgiving, wrap a loaf of bread in an apron and tuck a prayer or note of hope in the pocket. Tie One On...an apron of course!, and deliver the wrapped bread to someone without bounty and in need.”
Visit www.apronmemories.com for stories about this national event.
